Combine egg yolks and sugar in a heavy-bottomed saucepan, whisking until pale and thick
Gradually add Marsala wine while whisking continuously
Place pan over very low heat and whisk constantly for 8-10 minutes until mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon
Remove from heat and immediately whisk in chopped chocolate until melted and smooth
Add vanilla extract and salt, whisking until incorporated
Serve immediately in glasses topped with fresh berries, or chill for up to 2 hours
